A new educational space for producing podcasts, hosting expert discussions, and disseminating the results of international initiatives was opened on 15 January 2026 at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics. The first recordings are already in preparation — we will share the premiere episodes very soon!

At the initial stage, the studio will support the project’s key objectives, primarily in the field of compliance management education. The KHNUE team has already prepared podcast scenarios on the following topics: сompliance challenges for multinational companies, business ethics, ethical decision-making, compliance dialogue, third parties and suppliers.

In the medium term, the Podcast Studio will become part of KHNUE’s regular educational process and will be used for:

• student project-based learning (student-led podcasts and interviews);
• recording expert discussions with business representatives and compliance practitioners;
• developing bilingual (Ukrainian/English) educational content;
• disseminating project results to a wider academic and professional audience.

In the long term, the studio will function as a sustainable element of the university’s digital infrastructure, supporting interdisciplinary teaching, internationalisation, and continued cooperation with European partners beyond the project’s lifetime. It will also be available for other Erasmus+ initiatives, international projects, and the university’s outreach and public engagement activities.

A separate direction of the studio’s development is to support post-war recovery and social cohesion.

Participants of the Summer School:

• joined lectures, practical seminars, workshops and panel discussions with the participation of experts from Universidade Portucalense UPT (Portugal), Hochschule Wismar (Germany), The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (Czech Republic) and Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości i Administracji w Lublinie (Poland);
• worked with real cases, using interactive teaching methods;
• presented their own vision of implementing European practices in the context of Ukrainian higher education;
• established professional contacts with European and Ukrainian colleagues for further scientific and educational cooperation.

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal) was honored to invite Iryna Murenets, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Business Security of the Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, to visit Portugal as part of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program.
🔹 The visit lasted from May 5 to 9, 2025 and became a great opportunity for a lively dialogue between representatives of the academic community, exchange of experience, new acquaintances and inspired ideas for further cooperation between universities.

Professors from Bragança recognized Tetiana as an extremely hardworking, responsible and motivated student with high achievements.

🔹 The visit ended with a bright concert by talented music students of the Polytechnic Institute – an event that filled the atmosphere with friendly warmth, cultural reciprocity and sincere energy of youth.
This visit was yet another proof that international academic mobility is not just an exchange of knowledge, but a bridge between cultures, hearts and dreams.

🥳🤩Associate Professors of the Department of International Economic Relations and Business Security of the S. Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics Харківський національний економічний університет  імені Семена Кузнеця  Olena Iarmosh and Oleksandra Gron participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “ACTA NON VERBA: VALUE GUIDELINES OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION”, which was organized by the Ukrainian Association of Professors and Researchers of European Integration, Mariupol State University, Zaporizhzhia National University, in partnership with Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National ERASMUS+ Office in Ukraine, National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts of the EU ERASMUS+ program, and was held on March 13-14, 2025.

⭐️As part of the sectional meeting “University and Society: A Space for Interaction, Dialogue, and Cooperation between Universities and Civil Society,” a report was presented on “Compliance Education as a Factor of Sustainable Business Development in the Context of European Integration.” The report emphasized the importance of integrating responsible business conduct standards into domestic companies, enabling them to compete successfully in the European market. The presentation also showcased an analysis of global research on the significance of compliance management in modern business strategy, the evolving role of compliance officers, and the increasing demand for qualified compliance specialists.

🎯The introduction of compliance management courses in domestic higher education institutions will equip future specialists to meet the challenges of the global market, providing them with the knowledge necessary for risk management and ensuring ethical business standards. This will enhance their competitiveness in the international job market.

🥰 These objectives will be addressed through the implementation of the Erasmus+ (CBHE) Project “Implementation of the European Approach to Compliance Management in Ukrainian Higher Education – EUComplianceM4UA.” The project involves five domestic universities, including Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, as well as four universities from the European Union.

🤓 The primary goal of the project is to improve teaching and assessment mechanisms in higher education institutions, with a focus on quality assurance, governance, anti-corruption measures, and innovation in line with EU compliance standards. Studying compliance management will help students understand the importance of acting based on European values while considering legal and ethical standards, ultimately contributing to the development of responsible business practices.

👍 The active involvement of Ukrainian universities in implementing the European approach to compliance management will enhance academic integrity, international management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and legal aspects in less experienced higher education institutions in Ukraine.

The first meeting of the International Economic Relations group ‘International Historian’ has taken place 27.09.2024. The group was held in the format of a ‘reading group’. The participants discussed the first three chapters of the work of the economics classic Adam Smith ‘The Wealth of Nations’ (1776). The central topic of discussion was the division of labour in society and between countries then and now.

The applicants were assigned research tasks in order to prepare research projects for further work on the problematic issue.

On July 12, 2024, with a high score of 18 out of 20, she defended her thesis on the topic “DIGITAL MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA: CASE STUDY OF CO-LIVING SOJUELA JOVEN”, which she prepared under the supervision of Professor, PhD Oliva Maria Dourado Martins. The thesis was prepared by Elvira on the example of the real Spanish company Manfred On Tour based in Sojuela (Spain), in which she completed an internship in April-May 2024.

In the teaching of the academic disciplines “Business Economics” and “International Entrepreneurship” by the associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and the guarantor of the educational program “Entrepreneurship and Trade” Lytvynenko Alina Oleksandrivna under the auspices of the Kharkiv Regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund, the Main Department of Economy and International Relations of Kharkiv Oblast of the state (military) administration and the Kharkiv Regional Youth Center, an event dedicated to the launch of the “School of Small Business” program was held, which will include a series of business seminars for young entrepreneurs “Laboratory of Success”.

The “Laboratory of Success” business seminars for young entrepreneurs involved scientists from the Kharkiv Higher Secondary School, entrepreneurs, representatives of the State Tax Service, and representatives of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center.

On November 10, an online meeting of the working group of the educational program “International Business” (specialty 292 International Economic Relations” of S. Kuznets Khnev University) with representatives of the business community took place. Stakeholders-employers noted the relevance and quality of the educational program, the importance of already taught disciplines and program results. The representatives of the enterprises shared the vision and expectations of employers regarding the knowledge and skills of future specialists in international economic relations, spoke about their interest in cooperation and the vision of further cooperation with the Department of International Economic Relations to improve the quality of the educational process and its compliance with modern trends in the labor market.
